HONOURING SACRED SILENCE
Guidelines for Visiting Sacred Sites & Group Activities
The sacred sites we visit are delicate and powerful places—points on the Earth where energies meet, often experienced as portals, where the veil between worlds feels thinner. Because of this, we approach them with care, awareness, and respect.
While these spaces are welcoming, they ask for sacred silence.
-
Please speak only when necessary or during guided group moments, and always with sensitivity
-
You are welcome to step away for your own quiet, personal connection. If you do, find a safe and respectful distance where you won’t disturb others, and the group won’t disturb you
-
Move gently and remain aware of those around you
-
When a facilitator is guiding or speaking, please listen attentively
There will be time later to share, connect, and exchange insights.
Thank you for helping maintain a respectful and harmonious space for everyone.
BOSNIAN PYRAMIDS AND SACRED BALKAN TOURS INFO:
Flights to Belgrade (Return from Sarajevo or Belgrade)
Due to the current situation in the Middle East, we recommend travelling from Australia to Belgrade via Istanbul with Turkish Airlines.
This route offers the most reliable and comfortable connection, with smooth transit and a short final flight from Istanbul to Belgrade.
Typical route:
Australia → Istanbul → Belgrade
-
Estimated travel time: 24–30 hours
-
Estimated return airfare (Aug–Sep): AUD $1,900 – $2,400
As an alternative, flights via China (e.g. Guangzhou or Beijing) may offer slightly lower prices, though travel times can be longer and connections less straightforward.
We recommend avoiding routes through the Middle East where possible, as conditions may change and affect travel schedules.
Accommodation
We have arranged the best possible quality accommodation within our price range. Throughout the journey, we will stay in traditional ethno villages and estates, a mountain resort, a cottage camp on the shores of the River Tara, as well as charming hotels and cosy apartments in old town centres.
In Visoko (Bosnian Pyramids), we will stay above the prehistoric healing tunnels and meditation chambers in Park Ravne 2, at the heart of the experience.
Single rooms are very limited, so we recommend booking early if you prefer one.
Food
In remote areas, where shops and restaurant options are limited, we have organised full board (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).
In other locations, half board is provided (breakfast and either lunch or dinner).
When staying in old town centres or nearby, breakfast only is included, giving you the opportunity to explore the rich local restaurant scene and traditional Balkan cuisine at your own pace. You may choose to dine independently or with fellow travellers.
During travel between locations, we will occasionally stop at local restaurants for à la carte lunches, which are not included in the tour price.
Meals in the region are generally generous, with plenty of street food options.
If you have any dietary requirements (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc.), please let us know in advance.
Money Exchange
We will be travelling through four countries, each with its own currency:
-
Serbia: Serbian Dinar
-
Montenegro & Croatia: Euro
-
Bosnia and Herzegovina: Convertible Marka
We recommend using Wise or Revolut cards due to their low exchange and transaction fees. Cash will be needed, as some places do not accept cards. If bringing cash, we suggest Euros.
Exchange options vary by location:
Serbia
-
Rtanj: ATM available; exchange possible during Sokobanja visit
-
National Park Tara: No ATM, card payments accepted
Montenegro
-
Tara River Gorge: No ATM, card payments accepted
-
Transit through Bosnia includes a lunch stop (card accepted)

Bosnia and Herzegovina
-
Mostar: ATMs and exchange offices
-
Zavidovići: No ATM (bring cash; Euros accepted)
-

Unused local currency can be exchanged back to Euros in Bosnia.
Spending amounts depend on personal preferences.
Water
Bring a reusable bottle—you’ll be able to refill at natural springs. Water is also available in towns and on the bus.
June can be warm, so staying hydrated is important.

We recommend purchasing a local SIM card for reliable access:
